If US immigration officials are rude to you when you arrive in the US for a

vacation, are you entitled to ask? them for their name, so you can pass it onto UK immigration, in case that guy comes to your country for a visit?

They are probably being rude because our country is spending $338 billion a YEAR on illegal aliens. Just because you say you are coming over for vacation doesn't mean you are telling the truth. You could stay here forever and end up costing us money or even end up being a terrorist. Illegal immigration is a big deal in the US right now, don't worry about it.

I've met one or two people in a bureaucracy (immigration or otherwise) that were civil. The rest were unmitigated asses.

The only reason it happens is because we allow it to happen. If the clerk is rude to you, call him/her on it. If they give you more flak, ask for the supervisor.
