My friends have telus and they said they dont have SIM cards... i just wanna kno why?

Telus uses CDMA technology which means the phone has an electronic serial number (ESN) that the system picks up when you make or receive a call. Therefore, no sim card is required.

I used AT&T mobile phone in the USA that used the CDMA technology and it had a sim card. So is Telus choosing to not have sim cards in order to prevent the use of unlocked phones?

I always thought that AT&T was a gsm provider.
