I want to buy a HTC Touch Diamond (not from a telus store) and use it with my plan. I still have 1 year on contract and planning to resign. They said I must sign a 3 year contract to get a new phone and it cannot be a smartphone. So if I buy this smart phone somewhere else and bring it to a telus store, will they let me use it with my plan?
*My plan is like "VIP" cuz ive been with them so long, I basically get business 10 free.*

Yes, the HTC has to be originally from TELUS and you can only use it for whatever features you have on your existing plan (no data). The store will charge you $25 to do the swap.
TELUS... The Future IS Friendly, just not yet.
