Telus long distance text messaging?

Hi I have a texting plan with telus that allows me to send 250 messages and receive unlimited so If I text someone ( or receive from someone) from the USA or any other country besides Canada do I get charged? If I do how much? please leave simple answers I don't need to get into to much detail.

and I live in BC if I text someone from OnT do I charged for that

You get charged 60 Canadian cents.

You can be anywhere in Canada and send a message to any Canadian number for free (up to 250). If you send a message to a US or International number then you will be charged 10 cents per message. All incoming texts are free as long as you are in Canada, regardless of their origin.
