Switching to Telus from Rogers?

Kay this is it. We had it from Rogers and yesterday we called them to cancel our plans. They told us we can keep the phones we have now till August 28. This is what im thinking.. Can i still go to Telus and make a new plan with them now? Or do i have to wait till August 28? I was reading on the Telus website that they could probably take care of this. Help me out guys

you can obviously yes pay double. you can pay rogers and you can pay telus. i wouldnt, just wait til september please. and if you switch your numbers to telus you wont even be able to use the rogers phones in which case paying for the month of august is a total waste.

Go to TELUS on August 28th and 'port' your numbers to them. There is no point in paying for cellular service that you aren't using. TELUS usually releases new plans around the end of August in time for the new school year so you may get a better deal then.
