I have been with Telus since 2003. I currently have the LG Chocolate slider phone. It’s pretty old, I believe I’ve had it since 2006, and it’s not on any fancy 3G network or anything. Just regular cell phone service with an awesome Student Plan that I love and is within my price range. I would like to upgrade to the LG Breeze but apparently, because it’s a 3G+ phone, I cannot keep my current plan. Is this true? I called the Loyalty & Retention Dept. and this is what the guy told me. He said that I’d have to give up my current plan and sign on with a new one. The only way I’d get to keep my current plan is if I upgrade to a regular phone (no 3G+ phones). This seems like such a scam to me! I just want to upgrade to the LG Breeze, keep my current plan, and possibly add on a small data bundle to use Facebook, that’s it! But, I was told I can’t do this. Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Why can’t I do this? What are my options? Please help me!
