Can I add mp3 ringtones to the LG Venus using the Telus Network?

I'm trying to add mp3 ringtones as my ringtones but I can't find an option to save as a ringtone. Is this setting disabled since I'm using the Telus network? If not, how can I add the mp3s as ringtones?
