Thread: buy out a Telus contract?

I want to upgrade my phone to a Samsung Note 2. At first they said no because my account was overdue. I paid the overdue amount via credit card.
But I guess its because my credit with Telus isn't great so I cannot do a mid-contract upgrade. Is it possible to buy out this contract (5) and then upgrade?

And i pay my bill every month but the last few months I've been a week off but It has been paid.

You can pay off the contract but they probably wont let you upgrade
