Asus Eee Now Able to Receive HDTV Transmissions… Wait, Wha? [High Def Delight]

You must have heard about the Asus Eee PC by now, the amazing little machine loved by all? Kind of like the Little PC that Could? Well, now you can use the My Cinema U3100 tuner to watch HDTV channels. Granted, it won’t display HDTV-quality pictures because the screen is only 800×480, but at least you know you can get TV on your Eee PC. Also a feature taken away is H.264 streams because there is no decoder on the Eee for H.264, but MPEG-2 streams will play. There is no recording feature, but with a maximum of 8GB SSD, we wouldn’t expect much TV to be saved on there.
