Thread: Is texting free for people with the same carrier? (cingular, verizon, etc)?

my friend and i both have cingular but we are not sure if it is free.

i dont think that it is free but it might be cheaper.

It depends on what kind of plan you have. If you don't have the right plan than you will get charged for it.

Only if it's in your plan. I have Cingular and have the 200 texts/month plan. It's not free for me to text my sister who also has Cingular. I think you need the plan to get free texting for other Cingular members.

Only if you get free unlimited texting. You have to pay extra for that though

i know verizon has free txt with other verizon people..but you should call up cingular and ask them about it..good luck
