cingular question???

First of all Happy Holidays
well i got a cingular phone for x-mas
and i love it, but i dont how to change the text format
for example: instead of getting a text message that says the persons name for the (To i get their phone number displayed instead of their name. Therefore how can i change the display to showcase there name instead of their phone number??? please and thank u. Kissess and Hugs for everyone.x0x0x0x0xx0x0.

btw, its a Cingular phone Model: Z300a lol.

Make sure that the person sending you the message is in your address book and that the numbers match. Most phones are set up to automatically show either the name or the subject of the message in the inbox.
