Is it possible to use cingular?

Hi I have a sidekick 3 and I'm currently on t-mobile. I was recently exploring the features on my phone. I went to the network options since my phone lost connection temporarily while i was at home. When I went under Network Selection I was surprised to see T-mobile and Cingular now AT&T.
I'm also considering of dropping t-mobile services because its so frustrating with the poor coverage after 9 months into the 2 year contract. What can I do to quit without paying the termination fee?
