I am thinkin about buying my friends blackberry pearl to replace my razr. But hes on att and Im on alltel. Is there a way that if I buy it it will work for me?

If i get my friend phone and hes on att and im on alltel..will it work?

No. Alltel (which is now owned by Verizon Wireless) is CDMA. CDMA carriers do not use SIM Cards. Cingular/AT&T are GSM carriers which do use SIM Cards. The two networks are completely not compatible.
