I am thinking about switching cell phone providers to at&t and was curious if anyone knows how good the service is in michigan (dropped calls, no bars, ect). I am from norhthern Michigan so does anyone know about the service in that area.

I'm from Michigan, Lansing area, but my grandparents live in Caseville, and My Uncle has a cabin near Traverse City and I had nothing but problems with AT&T no matter where I went. Don't worry it doesn't drop calls because you can't make them in the first place. Go inside, no service, it rains, no service, step one half inch to your left, no service. I have Verizon now and that works pretty good, my friend has T Mobile and another has Blue Nation and none of them have had the complaints that I had with Cingular. So I don't know about your exact area or maybe the service has improved since I left about a year ago, but Lansings a pretty major city and if they can't provide good service here I don't know if they can provide good service anywhere.
