Thread: How do I unlock my Cingular Blackberry 8700c?

I want to take my phone over seas. How would I unlock it so I could put another phone carrier sim car inside?

Blackberry 8700c Unlocking Instructions

Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Blackberry 8700c mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Blackberry 8700c mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Blackberry 8700c with your current network/service provider's SIM card,
2 - Go to the Menu -> Options -> Advanced Options -> Sim card and press select,
3 - While holding the Shift key (bottom right corner CAPS), type mepd.
4 - You should now see the five locking categories listed, while holding the Alt key, type mep2.
5 - Release the Alt key.
6 - You will now prompted to enter the Network MEP code.
7 - Enter the Unlock Code, and press Enter(Return/Enter), the Blackberry 8700c should then be unlocked.
