Thread: Where is 'Forever 21' in the fashion cycle?

It was one of the questions in my fashion assignments and I'm not sure.

What is a fashion cycle ?

I'm not too familiar with it but i would say forever 21 would be towards the bottom above walmart and something like Proenza Schouler or anything in the fashion house: balenciaga, dior, valentino would be at the top?

A fashion cycle is like the food chain for clothes.

It would be like this:

Louis Vuitton, Vera Wang, stores of the like.
Then, there's Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, etc.
Next, is Forever 21, Rue 21, etc.
Then Kohls, JcPenny's, Justice, Limited Too, etc.
and Target and Walmart.

Fashion Cycle: the cycle of fashion in the industry that goes from its rise, peak, decline and then abandonment

So I would say at it's peak.
