My mother had a necklace when I was a child that I loved (and stole from her jewellery box many times) and I've been trying to find one like it for years, but I don't know what it's called and no one else can tell me, either. It was a hollow silver ball, maybe a little bigger around than a quarter, with what I can only imagine were bits of silver inside it that made a pretty, delicate tinkling sound when it was shaken. It had a gold crescent moon and a smaller gold star on the outside and the chain that it was on was quite long- I remember that the pendant sat at the base of her sternum. She had told me once that it was called a moonstone, but in searching for it I discovered that a moonstone is an actual stone (it doesn't really surprise me, since she had a tendency to make up things that she didn't know), so I know that's not it. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it!
