I have got a laptop for Christmas, but the keyboard is a US layout, but I am in the UK and so for sanity use the UK layout, but this has lost me, as I can't find the back slash.
Can anyone help me find it?
Please no stupid sarcastic comments.

there should be a clock by the lower right hand corner!
and next to that should be a thing sayin US or UK click on it and change the settings!
Back slash is next to the left shift key
go to control panel
regional and language
click keyboard and languages tab at top
click change keyboard
change top to uk
and delete US keyboard
click apply then ok
Its underneath the backspace button, which is weird. Although you can change the region settings I wouldn't recommend it as the keyboard will show different things to what it actually does, most stickers will soon become unreadable. What is also wrong with the US layout is that @ is on the SHIFT number keys, instead of near ENTER which is odd because its used commonly in emails. Plus a lot of other stuff which is annoying. Don't worry because you will soon get used to it.
