What are some fun trends?

I'm not looking for ideas to start a trend or anything because if I was I would do it myself, not steal your ideas. I just want some insight from some people other than the kids who go to my school.

Basically, we've had the same things all year: converse, Uggs, or burgenstocks (sp?); hoodies; lots of leggings; bright colors & the new button down shirt obsession. All the same, boring stuff. I just want something new and exciting to wear, you know?

So if there are any interesting, new trends at your schools, or any new idea you think is cool or exciting, please, post it here and help me make my look a bit less dull.
