i need to find ski poles with 80s style grips, with hand guards easy for...

...mittens. what are they called? the handles are easy to use with mittens, and you are able to just slide your hand in and out of the poles. they have the same style grip as a pirate sword would, with not really a hand guard, they are basically the handle of a cocktail sword, but made for ski poles. I know they were made in the 80's, but i haven't been able to find anything like them. Please help. They have an opening though in the round part of the grip so that they can easily slide in your hand.
