Thread: How should I start an essay on the pressures of modern living and how to cope...

...with them? Help!!i have an essay due tomorrow on the above topic and I have no idea how to start it...my teacher said to maybe start with a specific person who has had an encounter with one of these pressures...

i have no problem with the content but I'm really really stuck on how to start it!

A working mother leaves her job at 5:15 p.m., racing to pick her kids up from daycare by the time it closes at 6:00. Then it's off to the grocery store to pick up something for dinner, before rushing home to prepare it. There's time for a few minutes of conversation for the family during dinner, then it's bath and bedtime for the kids. The mother does a load or two of clothes for the next day, while the father cleans up the kitchen. Then they fall into bed exhausted to do it all over again the next day. The pressures of modern living don't leave much time for families to relax together and enjoy life.

Something like this, perhaps?
