Thread: Has the modern conservative party out lived it's usefulness ?

Mulrooney flies the the UK to save his government by asking for 8 extra senators to break dead lock - which would have amounted to a no confidence vote which would have brought down his government

Instead we get the revenue neutral tax called the GST which never did end up in consumer savings - we were told it would replace the hidden manufacturers tax

He misused the Crown to survive as a government

Now Harper who has been tied to Mulrooney has misused the Crown again in order to prevent 165 MP's elected to represent Canada from voting

Is there a place in our politics for such a party ?

Is it time to end forever the power of this party and reduce it all to a historical reference ?

Has anyone any use for this type of Conservative ?

Time to return to conservative principles of our forefathers, you know the old guys that wrote the Constitution of the United States.
