Thread: Advice on how to get this hair style?

You can not straighten hair with just product. You have to either get a chemical relaxer or you have to use a straightener or hot comb.

I have thick hair, which is sort of like an afro. And it is sort of curly! However I would like to have straight slicked back hair. I try with gels but as soon as I comb it - it goes curly. It does stay back but it's not a straight slick back.

I'm not sure if my hair is too short, or if there is an ultra-ultra super strong hair gel that as soon as I comb it, the shape remains?
