Status of Sprint Cancellation fees?

I see that a california court recently ruled that sprint's cancellation fees were unlawful. I was tricked into a new 2 year contact in March (by giving me a 5% discount) and I now want out of my contract but don't want to pay the $200 ETF. Has anyone argued that the california ruling also applies to current cancellations?
