i want to cancel my sprint contract- any sprint employees?

My service with sprint sucks, I used to have cingular/att and it was sooo much better. I want to cancel my contract a year early and they said for my phone and my moms (we have a family plan) it is $200 each. How can I get around that? I know it is possible. What are some good things I can say to the sprint people to get out of it?
what if my mom acts as if I went into rehab or soemthing for like 3 months and i cant have a phone?
