Explosive swimming or Sprinting? Fitness, toning?
Hi,im 18, in pretty decent shape. In weight training at the moment to gain size, will swimming on off days benefit me as much as sprinting would to tone up without reducing muscle size, and will it also give me the same fitness benefits as sprinting/ interval training. Can anybody give me any swimming techniques or advice that will give me the best results. I am a novice swimmer as i have never done it to gain fitness or muscle tone before, any advice to get started? or just hit the pool and do explosive lengths for a short amount of time then a rest period of slow lengths?? thanks!
