If I went to AT&T would they be able to switch the network over from Sprint?

Can I take my Sprint Sanyo Katana to AT&T to get it flashed?

No. Sprint uses CDMA technology on their mobile phones (no SIM cards) and AT&T uses GSM technology (SIM cards). They are incompatible with eachother. Sorry, you will have to purchase an AT&T phone.
