I went to the verizon site posted in this thread, and it said "Please contact Customer Service at (800) 922-0204" so I called 611 from my Verizon phone and asked a representative about the ESN. It came up clean and ready to be activated, so getting this message doesn't necessarily mean the phone is not going to work.
if you did it and i said to contact customer service you entered the wrong code i did it once and then entered the right one now my parents will activate my new phone! :D

Don't panic... if it says, "call customer service" it means the esn is not clear, and the phone was reported lost or stolen. The only way to clear it is to have the previous owner call verizon and tell them it was found, and they sold it to someone else. They're not going to send anyone to your house to arrest you.Quote:
