Defenseman Jonas Brodin of the Minnesota Wild took a puck to the face on a dump-in from Nashville Predators forward Gabriel Bourque and it was very ouchy hurty looking:

Brodin went to the locker room after playing just 1:01 for the Wild on Tuesday night. Now there’s word from Michael Russo of the Star Tribune that Brodin’s going to miss some time with a broken cheekbone:
He is out indefinitely and a timetable will be announced once it's determined. As of now, the Wild says this is relatively good news because there was originally a concern he had a broken jaw. Typically, players can play through such an injury with a cage, but that can't be determined until once the swelling goes down.
Per Minnesota Wild Assistant Equipment Manager Matt Benz, here is that cage:

So bad break for the Wild – Brodin is second on the team in average ice time (23:14) behind the preposterous total for Ryan Suter (29:19) – but a good break for Matt Dumba, as Russo reports he’s going to pick up Brodin’s time on the second power play unit.
