(Photo by Winslow Townson/Getty Images) USC linebackers Don Hill and Osa Masina have been indefinitely suspended from all football activities by the school.
Both players are currently part of a sexual assault investigation by Los Angeles police. Neither player has played in the first two weeks of the season because of suspensions, but the suspensions didn’t carry over to practices and other activities. Now they do.
“Under the university’s further guidance, it has been decided that they have been suspended from participation with our football team,” USC coach Clay Helton said in a statement.
Neither player has been charged with any crimes, though Masina’s lawyer told ESPN his client has also been “removed” from the school and that Masina was informed of the decision Friday and given until Monday to leave his campus residence.
“He’s now been removed from the school all together, not just the football team,” Salt Lake City-based attorney Greg Skordas said. “He’s not allowed to practice. He’s not even allowed to be on the campus.”
Masina has been accused of sexual assaults in both California and Utah in July. He reportedly Snapchatted himself during the first of the two alleged encounters and sent videos to the woman’s ex-boyfriend.

The first encounter allegedly happened July 14, and the woman said Hill also sexually assaulted her. She said she had a mixture of alcohol and Xanax at a pool party during the day and was taken to Hill’s apartment. The second allegation occurred later in the month when the two were in Utah. There the woman said she awoke after passing out to Masina having sex with her.
Masina was initially suspended before the team’s Week 1 game vs. Alabama for what was termed a violation of team rules.
