On Tuesday night, he also did this:

Now, anyone can say dumb stuff on television. Ralph Kiner once wished “a happy birthday to all the fathers out there” on a Father’s Day telecast for the New York Mets. I once pretended to have an opinion about a pro football team in order to fill up time in a segment. Courtney Thorne-Smith once called Carrot Top, and I quote, “adorable.” These things happen.
It is important to be focused on a singular professional goal, and not to have ideas above your station. Even if it is literally impossibly not to be able to top the particular station – the first overall pick – that you’re working out of.

Credit Milt Newton’s focus, in this regard. Timberwolves fans are in good hands.
