No. 18 Gonzaga has been gutting out wins over the past two weeks with key members of the team either out with injuries or playing hurt.
The Bulldogs recently survived a four-games-in-eight-days stretch undefeated despite their injury plague, but then they ran into a motivated a much more healthy Portland team Thursday.
Portland, which has used the same starting lineup all season, made 52 percent of its shots and held the Bulldogs to just 4-for-15 from behind the 3-point line in an 82-73 victory.
Gonzaga came into the game leading the nation in 3-point shooting accuracy, making 44.3 percent of its 3-point attempts. Credit the Portland defense, which hasn't been great at limiting 3-pointers this season, for getting the job done in this one.
The win snapped a decade-old 20-game losing streak to Gonzaga. It also ended a streak of 11 consecutive losses to ranked opponents. The last time Portland beat a ranked team was No. 22 Minnesota in 2009. It is just the Pilots' seventh win over a ranked team in history.

Portland's sophomore guard Bryce Pressley led his team with 16 points. he also dished out nine assists. Portland fans celebrated on the court with their team afterward. It was quite the night for the Pilots.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have to be thankful for a much-needed week off to rest and heal up.
