As we say goodbye to the Sochi Games, we're all better for getting to know Sage Kotsenburg, the snowboarder who won Team USA's first gold medal then turned into sports celeb overnight. His Twitter feed, of course, has been laughs — from when he asked for a bacon medal to when he joked about giving Bob Costas pinkeye.
Fourth-Place Medal can't close the door on the Winter Olympics without one more post about our main man Sage and, of course, it comes straight from his Twitter feed. It should be noted that he had a modest following of about 9,000 before the games and today has 72,000 followers. That's what winning a gold and being entertaining will do for a guy.
Kotsenburg, like many athletes who competed early in the games, wasn't in Russia for Sunday's closing ceremonies. But he was with Team USA in spirit, dressing the part while watching the ceremony on TV:
