NHL How good were Ryan Miller’s skills in little league baseball when he was growing up? Late in the third period of Thursday’s 3-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings, the Vancouver Canucks netminder showed off his catching ability.
Miller got caught as he was leaving the net for the extra attacker and saw the Red Wings countering toward the Vancouver zone. Noticing the Canucks goalie was way out of his net, Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg fired a shot from center ice, only to be denied by a diving stop.

Andrelton Simmons would be proud of that play.

You know you did something right when mom and dad are as excited as the Millers were following that save.
