Potential Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams must pass one last class before he can join Oregon for fall camp.
Adams told Sports Illustrated on Monday that he’s been “studying like crazy” to take a final Thursday at 12:30 PST, and if he passes that class, he will graduate from Eastern Washington and be allowed to transfer to Oregon.
However, if he doesn’t pass the class, he’ll be the most highly sought after quarterback that is ineligible to play for anyone other than Eastern Washington.

And he’s not sure Eastern Washington will take him back.
Because Adams hasn’t been allowed to have any contact with his potential future teammates, he’s spent the summer working out on his own and throwing passes to his roommates. If and when he final joins the Ducks, which could be the same day he takes the final (if he passes), he’ll have a lot of ground to make up on Jeff Lockie.
Lockie spent the past two seasons as backup to Marcus Mariota and has attempted just 41 passes in that span. Still, he was the leader for the starting role following spring ball and will have the veteran advantage against Adams.
