Some songs get the crowd going at a hockey game.
For Devon Fields, a Penn State hockey fan, that song is apparently Bon Jovi’s seminal ode to blue collar dreams, “Livin’ on a Prayer.” At a recent game, the guitar solo started, the sunglasses came down, and suddenly Fields was swinging his scarf and strutting down the arena stairs to the bewildered delight of the Nittany Lion faithful.

Um, Devon Fields, not to be too forward, but … can you be our hockey friend forever?

Alas, none of the Penn State fans took up his offer to dance. We haven’t seen someone reject Bon Jovi like that since Sambora left the tour.
Thank you, Terry Pegula, for spending $10 billion (our estimate) on starting Penn State’s hockey program, as your money has introduced us to our spirit animal.
