Score and situation: One win doesn't make 'em road warriors, but the Milwaukee Brewers got the victory they needed to regain homefield advantage in the NLCS. Thursday's 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals ties the series at two with one more game left to play at Busch Stadium.

Leading lads: Brewers starter Randy Wolf atoned for hisNLDS struggles, allowing only two runs over a solid seven innings before handing the game over to Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford. Ryan Braun resumed his beast mode at the plate, going 2-for-5 and knocking in the go-ahead run with a fifth-inning single while Jerry Hairston went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and RBI.

Head hangers: St. Louis starter Kyle Lohse got the early hook from Tony La Russa after giving up three runs in 4 1/3 innings. Cards' leadoff hitter Rafael Furcal went 0-for-4 at the top of St. Louis' order.

Key play: Fielder's leadoff double in the fourth started a two-run inning that put the Brewers back into the game after falling behind early.

What they'll be talking about: Many people predicted this to be a tight and close series and that's what we're getting so far. It's now a best-of-three with the playoff rotations turning over for Game 5. No, it doesn't get much better than this.

What's next: One more game in St. Louis before the series moves back north for at least one more. Friday's Game 5 is scheduled for 8:05 ET and will feature Zack Greinke vs. Jaime Garcia. Both pitchers gave up six earned runs in their Game 1 starts.
