No. 1 Star: Vincent Trocheck, Florida Panthers
The forward notched two power-play goals and assisted on Reilly Smith’s power-play tally in the Panthers’ 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Not a bad night for 15:16 of ice time, and a big win for the Cats without Jaromir Jagr.
No. 2 Star: Jake Allen, St. Louis Blues
Allen stopped 26 shots from the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 2-0 win for the Blues, triumphing in a goalie duel with close friend Ben Bishop. Scott Gomez scored his first in the first period; Troy Brouwer had an empty-netter.
No. 3 Star: Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars
The Stars captain assisted on all three goals in a second-period rally, as Dallas topped the Anaheim Ducks, 4-3. That’s despite two minor penalties in that period. Wacky.*
