Via Steve Keogh, Maple Leafs and Senators players gathered at the War Memorial in Ottawa for a moment of silence ahead of Remembrance Day.*
No. 1 Star: Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning captain inched closer to the NHL goal scoring lead by netting a pair as Tampa Bay edged the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 after a shootout. Ryan Callahan, who recorded two assists, scored the only goal in the skills competition as the Lightning won for the sixth straight game.

No. 2 Star: Eddie Lack, Vancouver Canucks
Lack made 28 saves and didn't allow a goal in the shootout as the Canucks got by the Anaheim Ducks 2-1. The win was Lack's first of the year, with a Ryan Kesler attempt hitting the post to seal the victory for Vancouver. Nick Bonino, who was part of the Kesler deal, scored the only goal in the shootout, meaning the Canucks won the trade.
No. 3 Star: Peter Holland, Toronto Maple Leafs
Holland scored for the second straight game and added an assist as the Leafs put five goals past Robin Lehner for a 5-3 win over the Ottawa Senators. Five different Maple Leafs scored and James Reimer made 38 saves.
Honorable Mention: Benoit Pouliot scored the eventual game-winning goal in his return to Broadway as the Edmonton Oilers downed the New York Rangers 3-1. Viktor Fasth made 17 saves for his second straight win … Justin Schultz would like to get a second chance at this and not allow Henrik Lundqvist to make a stunning glove save:

Gustav Nyquist scored again for the Red Wings in pretty fashion:

A three-goal first period help power the Chicago Blackhawks past the San Jose Sharks 5-2. Trevor van Riemsdyk scored his first NHL goal as Chicago snapped a three-game losing skid at United Center. According to the AP, the Blackhawks’ three first period goals by defenseman was the first time that’s happened for the franchise since Nov. 27, 1992 when Frantisek Kucera, Igor Kravchuk and Steve Smith achieved the feat ...*Before their game, the Leafs, Senators and Canadian Tire Centre crowd honored fallen soldiers:

Did You Know?*

Dishonorable Mention: The Rangers needed more than 11 minutes in the final period to record their first shot on Fasth … The loss was Ottawa’s first at home in regulation (4-1-3) this season.
