No. 1 Star: Mike Smith, Arizona Coyotes
Arizona took points for the fourth time in five games with a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. Smith made 36 saves in regulation and overtime, including this game-saver on Andrew Shaw, and stopped two more in the shootout for his first win in three starts. Oliver Ekman-Larsson assisted on both Coyotes goals and has seven points in eight games.
No. 2 Star: Mikko Koivu, Minnesota Wild
The Wild captain recorded a trio of assists as they downed the Vancuver Canucks 5-3. He now has 10 points in his last 10 games. Devyn Dubynk, who to improved to 8-1-1 since being traded to Minnesota, made 22 saves. Ryan Suter added a power play goal, his first since opening night.
No. 3 Star: Lance Bouma, Calgary Flames
Bouma set up Calgary's opening goal and scored what would stand as the game winner midway through the second period as the Flames beat the San Jose Sharks 4-1. Jonas Hiller made 33 saves and Jiri Hudler scored for the fifth time this season against San Jose.
Honorable Mention: Nail Yakupov’s power play goal midway through the second period was the difference as the Edmonton Oilers beat the New Jersey Devils 2-1. Jordan Eberle assisted on both Oilers goals and Ben Scrivens needed only 13 stops for his first road win of the season … Scott Hartnell scored his 13th of the season in his 1,000th NHL game … Marian Hossa netted both Chicago goals on his bobblehead night at United Center, including one off a great pass by Jonathan Toews:


Facing his old mates, Jeff Carter had a goal and an assist as the Kings got by the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3. Carter now has seven goals in 12 games against Columbus since the trade. Dwight King also recorded two points, while Jonathan Quick stopped 23 shots, including this close-angle attempt on Brandon Dubinsky:*

Dishonorable Mention: Vancouver has dropped six of their last seven against Minnesota … Via Tom Gulitti: "Third time in six games Devils have had only 14 shots on goal. Sixth time in last 11 they've had 15 shots or less" ... The Sharks dropped four of the five games against the Flames this season.
