The Anaheim Duck entered their game with the Jets with a 22-game unbeaten streak at home. Pavelec was the difference with a 42-save effort, leading Winnipeg to a 3-2 victory to snap the streak. Evander Kane had a goal and an assist.
No. 2 Star: John Tavares, New York Islanders
Tavares didn’t score a goal, but he had three key primary assists in the Islanders’ 5-3 rally against the New York Rangers, including a slick pass to setup Thomas Vanek for the game winner. Rick Nash had two goals for the Rangers.
No. 3 Star: Craig Anderson, Ottawa Senators
The Washington Capitals’ offense sputtered without Alex Ovechkin, out with an injury, but Anderson still made 34 saves for the 2-0 shutout victory.
