The 22-year-old forward scored a hat trick in his team’s 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators. Hartman’s hat trick was somewhat unusual since two goals were empty netters. Hartman became the eighth different Blackhawks rookie to notch a hat trick. He was also the third Blackhawks player to record three goals in a period during the last 22 seasons.

No. 2 Star:*Mark Stone, Ottawa Senators
Stone scored a goal and added two assists in a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. His three points tied a career-high and he now has 31 points in 38 games played. The victory over Edmonton broke a four-game losing skid for Ottawa. The Senators moved two points ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs for third place in the Atlantic Division.

No. 3 Star:*Sebastian Aho, Carolina Hurricanes
Aho scored two goals, including the game-winner, in his team’s 4-3 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins. The 19-year-old Aho has put together an impressive rookie campaign with 10 goals and 23 points in 40 games this season. The win helped the Hurricanes improve to 11-1-1 in their last 13 games at PNC Arena.*
