We first became acquainted with Laurence Leavy, who's better known to the world as Marlins Man, during baseball's 2014 postseason.
At various points throughout the playoffs, most notably during the World Series in Kansas City and San Francisco, Leavy would pop up on our screen and immediately grab our attention with his bright orange Miami Marlins jacket and visor. It was a distinctive look, especially considering the Marlins were nowhere near the postseason, and for better or worse Marlins Man quickly became a quasi-celebrity within the sporting world.
if you thought Leavy's fame would be short-lived though, you would be mistaken. Between October and now, he's popped up at several important sporting events, and his latest stop came on Saturday when he visited Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore for the 140th running ot the Preakness Stakes.
Actually, calling Marlins Man a simple visitor would be an understatement. He may have well owned the place considering the air time he received and access he had to basically every area on the grounds.
Take a look.

Don't worry. These aren't all selfies.*
In fact, here he is videobombing an interview.*
Now he's at the finish line.

It looks like he had fun, and it's possible he*witnessed history as American Pharoah continued his run for the elusive Triple Crown.
And look, he even had time to stop by Camden Yards earlier in the day. .

Hey, baseball gave him his fame. He'd better acknowledge that.
Only kidding, Marlins Man. Next, we'll be keeping an eye out for you at the Indianapolis 500.
