Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler lost three of the first four holes in their Friday morning fourball match against Martin Kaymer and Thomas Bjorn. After winning the par-4 fifth, the Americans halved the next three holes.
At the par-5 ninth, Walker got the American side back in the match, holing out from a greenside bunker for an eagle 3 to win the hole. The first-time duo improved to 1 down in the match.
