The injury that Georgia running back Keith Marshall suffered against Tennessee will sideline him for the rest of the season.
Georgia coach Mark Richt said Sunday that Marshall was lost for the season with a torn ACL after he was hit on the right leg while attempting to catch a pass from Aaron Murray on Saturday.
It's not the only season-ending injury a Bulldog suffered on Saturday either. Wide receiver Justin Scott-Wesley also suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. Wide receiver Michael Bennett also suffered a knee injury while blocking.
Marshall started against Tennessee in place of Todd Gurley, who missed the game because of an ankle injury. Richt said that Gurley is 50/50 to play on Saturday against Missouri, and if he doesn't, the Bulldogs will be without their top two rushers, just like they were for much of the Tennessee overtime win.
J.J. Green picked up the bulk of the workload in Gurshall's absence and ran for 129 yards on 17 carries. If Gurley can't go on Saturday, Green and Brendan Douglas will be called upon again for the majority of Georgia's rushing attempts.

Given Green's success on the ground, the injuries to Scott-Wesley and Bennett, if he's unable to go on Saturday, may be more impactful to Georgia. While quarterback Aaron Murray led Georgia downfield for the tying touchdown with five seconds left against the Vols, he ended with just 5.6 yards an attempt. And mind you, he already lost receiver Malcolm Mitchell for the season with a torn ACL in celebration after a touchdown against Clemson. If Gurley and Bennett aren't back soon, despite Georgia's easier schedule the rest of the season, the loss of two running backs and three receivers may be too much for Murray and company to overcome.
