The Jacksonville Jaguars are quickly becoming the butt of all NFL jokes. Jacksonville seems poised to lose the majority of its games this season – of course, Cleveland’s odds of futility increased dramatically after yesterday’s trade. NFL observers believe Jacksonville should just give up and Tim Tebow. It seems like only a matter of time before the NFL moves this team to a city – like Los Angeles – that will support the franchise.
But the ultimate sign of futility is when an outsider looks at your team and believes they can do a better job.

Tracy McGrady recently retired after 16 NBA seasons, but the seven-time All-Star and two-time scoring champion may believe he could have a second career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville @jaguars need to bring me on in for a tryout at QB or receiver!
— Tracy McGrady (@Real_T_Mac) September 16, 2013
McGrady, 34, may have been joking, but Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew did not laugh when asked about those comments on Wednesday.
“You’re more than welcome to sign a waiver and come to a live practice,” Jones-Drew told Jacksonsville.com. “We’ll see how it works out for you.”
Lighten up, MJD.
McGrady would be a great addition to the Jaguars. He has barely played over the past few NBA seasons, so McGrady’s body should be well-rested. Jacksonville has only scored one offensive touchdown in two games, so McGrady could not be worse than any of the Jaguars’ current options. McGrady is also the perfect ringer for Jaguars players to have during their offseason charity basketball games.

Imagine Tebow throwing passes to McGrady this season. Sure, there is no chance for a completion, but at least there would be a reason to watch a Jaguars game.
Well, unless you just need a good laugh.
