Grayson Allen threw down an impressive dunk at UNLV on Saturday (AP) So much for any concerns about Grayson Allen’s lingering injuries.
The Duke standout looked plenty explosive throwing down this vicious one-handed slam on Saturday during the first half of Duke’s matchup with UNLV.
I think Grayson Allen's feeling better. Good lord, this is nasty. https://t.co/SwHMcEc8RQ

Goodness. One angle isn’t enough on that one.
Allen, a preseason All-American who averaged 21.6 points last year, has been hampered by a toe injury and other unspecified ailments the past few weeks. Before Saturday, he was averaging 15.9 points and shooting only 35.7 percent from the field, a drop-off that many believe is related to those injuries even if he has refused to make excuses so far.
Maybe Allen is feeling better. Maybe UNLV’s porous defense is playing a role. Whatever the reason, the Duke guard has looked much better Saturday, scoring a career high 34 points on 12-for-16 shooting including one ferocious dunk.
