Here are 10 DFS recommendations for Saturday’s slate on Yahoo but be sure to double-check the weather and lineups*before first pitch approaches.
Trevor Bauer, SP, vs. Min (Santana), $35: He has a 23.5 K% with a 10.6 SwStr% and is facing a Minnesota team that’s scored the fourth-fewest runs in baseball both on the road and against right-handed pitchers this season. There are 18 higher priced pitchers than Bauer on Saturday despite the Indians being the fourth most favored team on the board.
Garrett Richards, SP, vs. Bal (Jimenez), $47: He sports a 2.36 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP with a .174 BAA over 72.1 innings at home this year, and that’s with him returning from an injury. Richards’ 11.0 SwStr% is actually higher this season than during last year’s breakout campaign.
Miguel Montero, C, vs. SF (Cain), $8: As usual, pay extra attention to catchers when it comes to playing time, but Montero has recently been activated from the DL and would be a cheap option if he’s in Saturday’s lineup. Matt Cain has struggled mightily against LHB this season (.352 BAA, 2.00 WHIP).*
Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, vs. Cin (Sampson), $20: He’s clearly one of the best hitters in baseball and owns a 1.071 OPS at home and will be facing a pitcher making his second career start. Despite a slow start to August, Goldschmidt is on pace to finish this season with a .336-102-33-117-29 line. His price here makes him pretty much a must start.
Jedd Gyorko, 2B, vs. Phi (Morgan), $13: He’s been a huge bust after signing a big contract with San Diego, but Gyorko still owns a .286/.412/.464 line against southpaws, and Adam Morgan has yielded a whopping six homers over 29.0 innings against RHB in 2015.
Todd Frazier, 3B, at Ari (Ray), $15: He’s on pace to finish with 94 runs scored, 41 homers, 103 RBI and 15 steals yet there are 12 third basemen costlier. Frazier also owns a .973 OPS when facing left-handed pitchers this season.
Starlin Castro, SS, vs. SF (Cain), $11: Be sure to check his status closely with Chicago now potentially having him on the bench regularly, but this shouldn’t be a problem with the Cubs having an early start. Sticking with the theme of going cheap at SS, if Castro is out, Adeiny Hechavarria is a nice alternative.
David Peralta, OF, vs. Cin (Sampson), : He has a .289/.354/.522 line against righties this season, typically bats cleanup and will be hitting in a terrific offensive park. Keyvius Sampson will be making his second career start, and he had a 1.46 WHIP in the minors this season.

Nelson Cruz, OF, vs. Tex (Perez), $21: He has a .387/.467/.731 line against southpaws, so I see no reason not to keep running him out there when facing lefties.
Bryce Harper, OF, vs. Col (Butler), $19: He’s been the best hitter by a wide margin this season (his .331 ISO leads the next best in Mike Trout by 23 points) and his wRC+ of 206 is even greater (leading Trout by 26), so I don’t get the price here. Harper is at home and facing a righty.
