Curt Schilling will be back talking baseball this week after announcing in August that he'd won his cancer fight.
The former Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher will rejoin ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" on Thursday, his first time serving as an analyst this season. Schilling, 47, announced he had cancer in February. In June, he announced his cancer was in remission. Last month, he acknowledged it was mouth cancer and blamed years of smokeless tobacco use.
We saw Schilling looking understandably frail during his cancer bout, but his wife Shonda Schilling tweeted a picture of Curt on Monday looking more like himself, though he's lost about 80 pounds:

Ahead of his return to "Baseball Tonight," Schilling sat down for an interview that aired Tuesday with ESPN's Karl Ravech.*In it, Schilling said of his cancer battle:
"Mentally, physically, [it was] the most difficult eight months of my life," Schilling said. "Certainly the most painful."
Look for Schilling on "Baseball Tonight" at 10 p.m. ET Thursday on ESPN2. Schilling was also part of ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" crew in the past. ESPN says he'll return to those duties when he's comfortable.
