Randle chose not to hoist a deep 3-pointer and the Cardinal eventually settled for a 3-pointer from Marcus Allen instead. He missed and the Miami survived to play overtime in the NIT championship game.
But with the game on the line in the final minute of overtime, Randle kept the ball in his hands and ended up giving Stanford a 66-64 victory at the foul line. **
With 39 seconds in overtime, he made two free throws to pull Stanford within one point. With 3.4 seconds remaining, he made two more to give the Cardinal the lead and ultimately the victory after Miami’s Sheldon McClellan missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Randle completed his Stanford career in similar fashion to his freshman year,* by winning the NIT title. The Cardinal also took home the trophy in 2012. Randle led all scorers Thursday with 25 points and fellow senior Stefan Nastic was the only other Cardinal in double figures. Randle finished his career having scored 2,375 points, the most in Stanford history.*

The game capped difficult a difficult season for both programs when it comes to injuries, both managed to overcome numerous lost players and other setbacks and fight to play in April, something only a handful of teams achieve each year.
McClellan scored 17 for the Hurricanes and Davon Reed added 16 for coach Jim Larranaga's team.*
